Sad & Beautiful Films is an award-winning Production company. Production partners Alex Crowton and Bobby Dass have been developing and making films together for more than 20 years. Driven by a desire to tell distinctive human stories, they have produced and directed the acclaimed documentary THIS IS SPARKLEHORSE amongst other projects. 
In the spring of 2023 Sad & Beautiful Films broaden their development slate to encompass both cinematic and television productions.
Recent releases include This Is Sparkle (2022), feature length documentary about the life and music of Mark Linkous, a cult and hugely influential figure in the alternative music scene, Mark had a dramatic life that saw him battle with drug and alcohol addiction, paralysis, and debilitating mental illness that resulted in his untimely death.
